Our follow-up album to Factory Hits Vol. 1 is a music CD cleverly titled Factory Hits Vol. 2. This CD is targeted more towards everyday Christian life and is great for all ages - kids and adults. You can click the SAMPLE MIX PLAYER to hear some of the songs or you can visit www.FactoryHits.com for more complete information.
These CD features the following songs:
1. God Draws Arrow - This song talks about the fact that God is constantly leading us IF we take the time and look for His direction. He sends us signs and direction through events and people in our lives.
2. Clickity Clack - Our conductor fulfills His promise to watch over us and care for us if we "stay on track." Heavy on the train metaphors and references, this song talks about the sacrifice made for us as well as the bright lights of Heaven at the end of the track.
3. Monkey See (Part 3) - Much has been made about skipping from Maonkey See (part 1) to Monkey See (Part 3), but really it's a question of not having time to complete part 2 and skipping to part 3 to not miss the point. The point to both songs is the same, kids watch and learn by how we deal with life. They mimic what you do much more than what we say. Part 1 gives examples of bad behavior being modeled and repeated, while part 3 shows how (just as easliy) good behavior is copied.
4. Cash Or Credit - It takes people a while to "get" this song. Take a listen and see if you understand the message. I think it's quite clear, but rather then fully explain it, I'd rather hear from the listeners...
5. Rise And Shine - Every one has their favorite and many have selectred this one. Catchy chorus and simple words, it's a great wake-up song.
6. All For Me - A true group effort. This song has many different voices and a combinded chorus talking about God, Jesus and the Spirit being one and that "they" are all for us. Listen for the line that supposed to say "like salt on pretzels," we recorded my son 10 times and it always came out unique, so we included on of those takes.
7. Tired Of Milk - Another favorite of mine, especially close to the end where it has fast talk/rhyme. This song talks about the fact that if we never mature our kids past the basic Bibleical stories of Noah and Jonah, they will not grow spiritually as they should. So give them milk as infants (in the Lord), but give them more as they grow.
8. Cut The Cord - One of the most quoted songs. Prehaps because it contains so many good lines. This song is similar in message to Tired Of Milk, but is more comical and fast paced. It covers all the mistakes we can make as over-protective parents. It;s good to keep a close eye and steer our kids towar dthe light, but sometimes they need to experience some pain and suffering (for their poor choices) to really learn the lesson God has for them to learn.
9. Is There Room? - Probably the most imposing song of the CD. This song asks the raw question "Is there room for God in your life?" or do you put Him aside right after you leave the church building? It's good for each of us to continue to ask this question of ourselves and our good Christian friends (they'll thank you for it later).
10. Hard Hat Area - Perfect song for raising kids. It's tough, it's a struggle and you are ALWAYS on the job. This is a "rockin" song with a hard-core message.
11. Knock University - We've always heard of Hard Knock U, well this song takes it a step further and discusses several tough things we as people go through sorrow, grief, losing friends, etc., but ALL things are for good if God's in control. We must trust the one who loves us the most and work our way through these things.
12. The Sequel - Awesome song! A great place to end the CD. A reminder that Jesus is coming back and we need to get ready. He'll be here before we know it so don't be wasting time in persuit of lives pleasures. He died for you, so live for Him.
